Our postgraduate education is delivered through SynTrain International Academy, our dedicated dental education and clinical training academy.
SynTrain’s philosophy is simple — Tell. Show. Do.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMAS

Our postgraduate Diploma programmes provide structured routes for dentists who want to develop advanced clinical skills before progressing further academically.
SynTrain currently provides Diploma pathways in Dento-Alveolar Surgery and Restorative and Dental Implantology, giving clinicians the opportunity to develop within some of the most valuable areas of modern general dental practice.
Diploma in Dento-Alveolar Surgery
A 12-month, University Level 7 postgraduate programme designed to increase a dentist’s competence and confidence in minor oral surgery.
Training covers areas including surgical extractions, impacted wisdom teeth, retained roots, flap design, suturing, oral pathology, management of complications, crown lengthening, trauma and advanced surgical assessment.
The aim is to give general dental practitioners the knowledge and clinical development needed to manage a wider range of cases safely within practice.
Diploma in Restorative and Dental Implantology
An EduQual Level 7 Diploma combining digital learning with practical implant and restorative education.
Delegates develop their knowledge from straightforward single implant cases through to multiple implants, overdentures and full arch treatment planning.
The hands-on pathway also provides direct mentorship on live patient implant cases, helping clinicians translate their academic learning into practical clinical experience.

For clinicians looking to take their education to the next level, SynTrain offers an extensive range of postgraduate MSc programmes.
University of Greater Manchester programmes are delivered by the City of London Dental School at SynTrain Academy, an authorised CoLDS delivery site.

CLINICAL MENTORSHIP

Advanced clinical dentistry cannot be developed through lectures alone.
A key part of SynTrain’s postgraduate philosophy is providing clinicians with the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners through practical training, live demonstrations and structured mentorship.
Selected programmes provide one-to-one clinical mentorship, giving delegates the opportunity to observe, assist and develop their skills under appropriate supervision.
For example, the MSc in Restorative Aesthetic Dentistry & Implantology includes mentorship across implant surgery cases, while the MSc in Dento-Alveolar Surgery incorporates dedicated oral surgery mentorship.
This clinical exposure helps our dentists develop the confidence to take the knowledge gained through postgraduate education back into their own practice.

CAREER PROGRESSION
From Diploma to MSc
Your postgraduate education does not have to end after one qualification.
SynTrain provides progression pathways that allow eligible delegates who have completed relevant postgraduate Diploma programmes to continue their education towards an MSc through an Advanced Prior Learning pathway.
Previous postgraduate study and clinical experience can be reviewed as part of this progression, enabling dentists to build upon the knowledge and competencies they have already developed.
For ambitious clinicians, this creates a structured educational pathway that can continue alongside their progression from associate dentist to practice partner and beyond.

We recognise that not all circumstances are the same and not all locations warrant the same patient charges. We would therefore build this in the practice development plan.
It is sensible to create a base within 1 practice. If you decide then to invest in a 2nd practice, it would be wise to maintain presence in the 1st practice and offer some sessions in your second practice. This is to allow associate dentists to be supported and settle in. We would create a business development plan for you allowing you not to spread yourself too thin. Our approach is to ensure stability and growth for both yourself and our JV practice.
Absolutely! As an associate dentist, you can choose to become a partner with us. You do not need to be an existing practice owner to become a partner with us.
Yes you can. We will undertake a mapping exercise and needs analysis and establish whether the location would be good for a new squat practice. Arrange a call and let’s have a chat. You don’t need to disclose your location until you want to.
Yes you can. Your options are that we buy a new practice together separate to your existing one, or we buy into your existing practice. We can discuss these options over a simple phone call.
Don’t worry, relax! We can offer you flexible share options ranging from 10% to 50% to the value of your investment. You then have the option to buy further shares up to 50% in the future.

If any of the locations have a freehold purchase option, then yes you can.
That’s the spirit! We would like you to be motivated enough to see the sky as your limit. If after the first JV practice, you want to invest in a 2nd practice, this is what we encourage. There is no limit in the number of practices you can invest in. The only limitation is how hungry you are.
You can! There is no tie in so you are free to sell your shares whenever you want. The share value would be at market value. Vice versa, if you wanted to buy the Synergy shares, we can discuss this over a coffee!
We refer to this as your financial freedom! You are at a point that you don’t need to work and practice profits allow you to earn a healthy living. So yes, you can. If this is your goal, our business development plan will be tailored to make this into a reality for you.
We can base this on our performance to date with our existing practices. Our partner practices have demonstrated a year on year increase in Turnover and profits. We expect the same for yours.
