The Mayor of Bolton was happy sitting down on the job when she officially opened a new dental clinic in the borough.
Cllr Hilary Fairclough was able to see first-hand what the new Synergy clinic in Blackburn Road was all about.
The surgery has been enlarged and given a full refurbishment and new equipment.
This includes a new CT scanner so all patients can be scanned at the practice rather than being referred to hospital.
Clinical director Dr Zuber Bagasi said: “Having a more modern environment and state-of-the-art equipment allows our team to offer the very latest techniques to our patients.
For example, we are able to undertake dental implant treatment fully digitally-guided and mimicking ‘keyhole’ surgery, which allows less downtime for the patient and reduces risk and complication.”
Cllr Fairclough added: “This is ground breaking. It’s great to see local companies investing so heavily in their facilities. It’s good for the local economy and offers more choices to the public”.
